Old Map of The Great War, WW1 - England, France, Germany, Belgium, Flanders Battle Lines hampshire All other mapsThis is one of the finest and rarest maps of World War 1, also known as The Great War, which started in 1914. Published in 1926 by Ernest Clegg, the map depicts the battle lines of 25th September 1918. In red and blue you have English and French troops, and in the black and taupe you have the Germans. A few American, Italian, Belgian and Portuguese divisions are also shown. I believe these lines show the beginning of what we now call the Fifth Battle
