横縞と縦に流れるように浮き出た絞り柄は全く同じ柄が存在しない絞り染めならではの魅力を持ちます。

菊文様は皇族や武家が使用していた紋であったことから「高尚」の意味を持つ吉祥紋様です。

大正～昭和に一世風靡した銘仙ですが、大ぶりな柄が流行した当時を考えるとこちらの銘仙はかなり小柄で珍しい部類であるといえます。
