It is an impressive structure of nine tiers. Each level is decorated all round with classic blue and white floral motifs and set with small window openings and projecting eaves. In the Eastern tradition the pagoda stands for wisdom and spiritual protection, and the odd number of tiers (nine) is held to be especially auspicious. The pagoda is fired at 1400C,
