many of his oils were on the smaller scale and the majority depicting beautiful women he encountered in the Café Society around Brussels

This delightful little portrait is a typical work by Thomas

as he is internationally collected and sits in many public collections including the Tate and what’s more was a much respected professor of painting at the Royal Academy Schools

and tried to acquire everything that comes on to the market - not so easy now that his prices have started to rise
