Used for storing documents, money and other precious items it is made throughout of solid Kiri wood (paulownia) front and case. Kodansu chest were a special piece used to store one's most valued items. There are four lock plates but the locks have over time become inoperable and no key is necessary and no risk of getting locked out. Height = 19. 75" (50cm) Width = 22. 75
