It is all hand thrown and hand painted with a scenic design featuring three geisha sitting along a river bank with a house and blossoming plum trees in the background. There is also a gold painted rim and a geometric patterns reminiscent of a parasol and kimono fabric at the top of the plate. The back of the plate has the artist's signature, Kutani written in gold paint. It was
