タイ出身の1990年代生まれの作家4名による作品集。本書は、タイ出身の作家Harit Srikhao、Kamonlak Sukchai、Naraphat Sakarthornsap、 Natthaya Thaidechaの近作とインタビューをまとめたもの。この4名のビジュアルアーティストたちはそれぞれ1990年代初頭〜半ばにバンコク近郊で生まれ育ち、2000年代以降に繰り返されるタイ国内の政治的混乱の顕現を思春期で目の当たりにしてきたという点において、共有可能なアンビエンスを有しています。いずれもイメージへの積極的・継続的な介入を通じて、長く隠蔽されてきた規範や権力が生活者たちの無意識に与える影響と、それらが引き起こす国家・社会・個人単位における行為や信念、身体のあり様についての考察を試みています。なお、本書は東京・浅草の多目的スペース「RABA」の展示企画から生まれた書籍シリーズの第2弾。共同企画にタイ・バンコクを拠点にするアートフォト・プラットフォ ーム〈ARC TRIBE〉が、また編集協力にはアジア各地域のクリエイティビティとネットワー ク構築の促進を目的に組織されたインディペンデント・プラットフォーム「UNLIRICE」がそれぞれ参加し、制作された一冊です。
