ANTIQUE GOLD AND GARNET CATALAN EARRINGS Zodiac Sagittarius A pair of Aurora DiamondOf girandole design and set throughout with hessonite garnets, these earrings date to circa 1810. The central section is removable, allowing them to be worn in a shorter form. Made in Catalogna, they are an excellent example of early 19th century Catalan jewelry. This unusual design was only found in northeast Spain, specifically in Barcelona. The choice of hessonite garnet is also very typical of the region. Length: 4 inches
