I think originally I felt I’d just discover it was by a celebrated court artist of the day and pay off my mortgage but it’s clearly not as easy as Philip Mould makes it look

In the early twentieth century Kauffman lived and worked in the States as a portrait painter and sculptor but nothing else is recorded

But I wasn’t happy with the it

The latter actually proving more use than the name would suggest
