we are still very lucky to have an association with his family and are able to offer works from his estate from time to time
"The first piece I saw by James was his portrait of Paul Smith in the National Portrait Gallery
Unlike so many celebrity portraits this was certainly painted from life
His very stylized portraits have a faintly celluloid feel about them
This print is in our Cecil Court gallery
