Echinacea purpurea Prairie Splendor is a wee bit special as it has an earlier bloom time (up to 2 weeks earlier) than other varieties

tall flower stems that rise above to about 1 metre topped with dark velvety royal purple flowers

so we find they grow well for us here in Auckland but they will be happy in all climates throughout the country

cut back hard in the spring and feed again to get it going for the following year
