The butterfly has semi translucent multicolored body, blue eyes and delicate black antennae, and multi colored complex cane forewings and hindwings, encircled by a single exterior garland of alternating red and white Stardust canes, rayed base, also called melon ribbed base. The paperweight has a concave top and 6 concave facets around the side. Circa 1845 1855.
