It formed almost 15 million years ago, when an enormous meteorite struck the Earth and landed in what is now Bavaria. The immense pressure and heat, combined with naturally occurring mineral particles, gave rise to entirely unique crystals the ones we call Moldavite today. The name comes from "Moldau", the German name for the
