The following is taken from "The Distinguished Service Order" book: "Capt
Naval General Service Medal 1793-1840 Buy Now PARKER (3498790 ROne clasp, "EGYPT", officially impressed: John Marsh. Brackets have been additionally placed around 'Egypt', and '1801' has also been contemporarily engraved on clasp facing and reverse of exergue, minor edge bruising, therefore very fine. John Marsh served as Boy in H. M. S. Cameleon; two other men of this name appear on the Admiralty Claimants List which includes a single clasp award for Syria. Provenance: Glendining October 1905, Sotheby June 1983.
