Mexico, Republic. A Naval Teaching Merit Medal, I Class, C.1945 Newly Listed as part of the 2nd(Condecoracion al Merito Naval Docente). Instituted in 1945. In silver gilt, obverse illustrating two left facing male portraits and inscribed "MERITO DOCENTE NAVAL" (Naval Teaching Merit) above, on a pebbled background, plain reverse inscribed "CREADA POR LEY DE 17 DE DIC 1945" (Created by Law of December 17, 1945), measuring 25. 5 mm (w) x 41 mm (h), original ribbon, very light contact, near extremely fine.
