A Maltese cross constructed of war alloy; the obverse inscribed Fr Kriegshilfsdienst (German For War Aid), with an oak wreath on the bottom half of the cross; the reverse with the Royal Monogram of Wilhelm Rex; with double loops for suspension, with some of its period original ribbon, measuring 41. 90 mm (w) x 41. 82 mm (h), weighing 36. 0 grams, mounted
