Giacomo Conterno Barolo "Monfortino" Riserva 2019 Lombardy Pairing Suggestions: This wine begsThe greatest of all Italian wines, Monfortino is the riserva Barolo of Giacomo Conterno. This wine was made from purchased grapes from the 1920's up until 1974 when Giovanni Conterno purchased the Francia Vineyard in Serralunga d'Alba. All Monfortino from 1974 to the present day have been made from a vineyard selection of Francia, with the rest of the Nebbiolo from the site going into the Cascina Francia bottling which is a top Barolo in its own right.
