Constructed of zink with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, with a central white disc overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a cogwheel overlaid by a HJ insignia, the eagle flanked by a date of 1944 and topped by an inscription of GAUSIEGER, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked G. BREHMER,
