Co produced by John Coltrane and recorded at Rudy Van Gelders Englewood Cliffs studio, the set presents Shepp performing four Coltrane compositions Naima, Mr. Syms, Syeedas Song Flute, and Cousin Mary alongside Shepps own Rufus.
