An ovular badge constructed of die stamped bronze, the obverse centre bears a submarine on a cut out background, encompassed by a laurel wreath border topped by a German State Crown, the reverse is plain and bears a soldered magnetic horizontal pinback with round wire catch, measuring 50. 16 mm (w) x 48. 11 mm (h), unmarked, very fine.
