Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, vertical pinback, consisting of a Cross Patte with pebbled arms, with a central Bavarian national lion clutching a state coat of arms, within a blue enameled oval ring bearing silvered inscriptions of BAYERISCHEN KRIEGERBUND (BAVARIAN VETERANS ASSOCIATION) and DEM VERDIENST (TO MERIT), the reverse maker marked DESCHLER & SOHN, MNCHEN, measuring 41. 53 mm (w)
