Vintage Chinese “Peking Glass” tabular disk counterweight. 36x40mm. b11-bl-2054-2 clear with a 22 or 24ktbeautiful and rare antique Chinese glass tabular disk, often mistakenly called Peking glass. 36x40mm. 3mm hole. These have the soft colors and bubbles of old Chinese glass. This type of glass was often intended to simulate gemstones such as jade, emeralds and quartz.. Before 1911, beads of this type were made as counterweight pendants to Mandarin Court jewelry. After 1911 these disk beads were made for the Chinese Opera costumes. We are very excited
