Constructed of solid silver; the obverse with a rightward facing bust of Kaiser Franz Joseph, circumscribe din Latin script; the reverse inscribed Signum Laudis (Latin Sign for Praise) within a wreath consisting of oak and laurel leaves; on a crown suspension; with a horizontally pierced ball and loop, as well as a wartime ribbon with double clasps; measuring 30. 73 mm in diameter; weighing 19. 5 grams; in overall
