A Fine Military Order Of St. George, Grand Cross Star With 'Brilliance', C.1900 consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac joined together at the bottom(Orden vom heiligen Georg, Bruststern zum Grokreuz). Instituted 20 March 1729 by Prince Elector Karl Albrecht. (1729 1918 issue). Constructed of silver with synthetic gems, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse featuring arms inset with synthetic sapphires and set within a pebbled border, joined together through the quadrants by rhombuses featuring synthetic sapphires and cut glass gems simulating white enamels, bearing a central medallion
