Two Royal Flying Corps Shoulder Flashes Auction Archive maker marked with an "H"White embroidered lettering "ROYAL FLYING CORPS", on a black wool base, purple paper backer, measuring 120 mm (w) x 34 mm (w) each, mothing evident at the top of one flash, the other is unaffected, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Royal Flying Corps merged with the Royal Naval Air Service to form the Royal Air Force on April 1, 1918.
