Constructed of a copper zinc alloy, consisting of a six pointed star, the obverse depicting the Royal Cypher GRI VI centrally surmounted by a crown and inscribed The Air Crew Europe Star in capitalized lettering, the reverse is plain, on a fixed loop and swivel ring for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 38. 3 mm (w) x 50. 9 mm (l). Accompanied by its cardboard presentation case, the lid is
