Corofin Brawn Vineyard Chardonnay 2023 2015 finger lime and lemon myrtleThe first release of Corofin from this vineyard is a cracking example of Marlborough Chardonnay. With powdery mildew affecting his usual source for Chardonnay from Takaki Okada's Folium vineyard, Mike Paterson instead sourced his fruit from the Brawn vineyard in the Wairau Valley. A great decision. It's rich, concentrated and shows supremely ripe fruit, accentuating the nectarine, apple and nutty characters, as well as a small spicy note. Lees ageing
