Lovely gemstone ~ flawless and a perfect purple. Set in a wide and heavy curved 925 Sterling Silver band, this ring reminds me of an exhibition of Ancient Roman Rings I saw as a child in the British Museum. Was it worn by a Senator ? A Roman General ? Half a century later I still remember that moment, and this ring reminds me of it. In the last photo you can see a small hole in the Silver which
