The album also contains a postcard with best wishes for Christmas 1949 from the three from Aschaffenburg (northern Bavaria). The photos show a soldier of the Heer in the rank of Gefreiter (Lance Corporal) who at some point joined the SS to become an SS Oberscharfhrer in the SS Polizei Division, identified by his cuff title. The soldier whose name is not mentioned was awarded the Infantry Assault
