Balanchine, George - Signed Pointe Shoe [HISTORY] in overall excellent conditionGeorgian born American choreographer (1904 1983), one of the most influential figures, co founder of the New York City Ballet and was its artistic director for over 35 years. One children pointe shoe, in black leather, signed by Balanchine inside, on the insole. It was signed after a dress rehearsal of The Nutcracker. Worn in performance by a child. Size is approx. 8. 25 x 3 inches, in very good condition. Autographs of Balanchine are rare.
