The hard synthetic core of the mallet head delivers the necessary power and precision, while the synthetic fleece coating achieves a pleasantly soft sound. A convenient wrist strap keeps the mallet handy at all times. Handle is made of solid maple wood. In addition, this mallet is suited for playing large metallic singing bowls from a weight of about 1,000
