In silver gilt, a red enamelled cross with faceted exterior, clusters of five smooth rays in each quadrant, the obverse medallion displaying Royal symbols, surrounded in a white ring inscribed A LA LEALTAD ACRISOLADA (To Pure Loyalty), the reverse medallion features the crowned cypher of Isabella II on a blue field, surrounded by a white ring inscribed POR ISABEL LA
