Constructed of silver and Gold, on loop for suspension from its period correct replacement ribbon, consisting of a Ruppert Cross, the obverse with a central Gold applique bearing the monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm II above a date of 1900, the reverse with a Gold applique bearing an inscription of VERDIENST UM DEN STAAT (SERVICE TO THE STATE) inside of a laurel leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 39. 85 mm (w) x 43.
