Germany, Wehrmacht. A Tank Destruction Badge, Silver Grade United Republic of the outside of the lid(Panzervernichtungsabzeichen). Constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a raised and detailed profile of a Panzer IV, affixed with two attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a silver aluminum wire backer, the obverse of the latter trimmed along both the top and bottom edges with machine embroidered black tresses, the insignia measuring 42. 84 mm (w) x 17. 87 mm (h), minor oxidation and loss of finish is visible
