An eight pointed star, each arm consisting of a cluster of five individual faceted rays, obverse centre featuring a white enameled Pison Cross, with detailed green and red enamel laurel and olive branches in each quadrant, obverse centre depicting the restructure date 1855, two crossed swords, and the initials VE (Victor Emmanuel), all hand carved in Gold, reverse with pin
