Simon Malescot bought the property at the end of the 17th C and changed its name to include his surname. After the revolution, Malescot was split and then further divided by subsequent owners. In the mid 19th century, Malescot was sold to Comte Saint Exupery and gained the name we know today. Debt followed the Comte's death
