An 1880'S Hessen Army Belt With Buckle Auction Archive housed in a embossed leatherBuckle in bronze gilt on the right end, unmarked, illustrating the Hessian crown, the buckle measuring 54. 5 mm x 65 mm. Belt fabricated from a very supple leather, with a smooth finished black upper, smooth finished black underside, a single row of five holes for length adjustment on the left end, the belt measuring 44 mm x 1,150 mm. Scattered gilt wear and contact marks on the buckle, light wear and crazing on the belt. Fine.
