Japan, Empire. An Order of the Sacred Treasure, I Class Star Newly Listed adorned by hand carved silver(, Zuihsh). Instituted in 1888. Type I (1888 2003). In silver gilt, an eight point star with clusters of white enamelled rays, separated by a single short blue ray, the obverse medallion featuring a silver flower on a blue enamelled field, encircled by a silver gilt ring along with eight small red glass cabochons and eight large discs with glass cabochons and synthetic stones, reverse bears a single pin with dual stays, measures 75. 80 mm (w) x 76. 12
