A superb studio portrait depicting a Bavarian soldier wearing full field kit, clad in an Officer grade Pickelhaube with a regional plate clearly visible, wearing a 1914 Iron Cross II Class, and wielding a rifle with an elongated combat bayonet fixed in position, standing against a forested studio backdrop, affixed to a card stock backer topped by a printed etching of Kaiser Wilhelm II, situated above a 1914 Iron Cross surrounded by an oak
