Germany, Third Reich. A 1944 Tyrolean Pistol Marksmanship Gau Champion’s Badge Hold tape highlight evident on the(Standschtzenverband Tirol Vorarlberg Leistungsabzeichen 1944 fr Pistole). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, the obverse consisting of a circular green enameled oak leaf wreath, surrounding a pebbled gilt disc, bearing a red enameled Tirolean eagle clutching a white enameled bullseye target bearing a mobile swastika, flanked by a date of 1944 and above an inscription of PISTOLE, the reverse maker marked C.
