Peru, Republic. An Order of the Sun of Peru, Grand Cross Star, c. 1960 certificate_of_authenticity After being ordered north to(Orden el Sol del Per). Instituted October 8th, 1821. Type III. Constructed of gilded bronze with red and white enamels, consisting of a bronze gilt star base featuring eighteen starburst arms, each arm with five rays, the obverse with a central gilded medallion bearing the Peruvian Coat of Arms, surrounded by a ring of red enamels marked El Sol Del Per with the date 1821 in white enamels, surrounded by a gilded laurel wreath with a bow at the base,
