Instituted in 1883. Type I (1883 1903 Issue). In silver gilt, a Maltese cross in blue and white enamel, each of the arms finished with two ball finials, Serbian double eagles with shields in each quadrant, the obverse oval centerpiece bearing distinctive iconography of St. Sava, surrounded by inscription in blue enamel, reverse oval centerpiece bearing the Royal monogram of Milan I within a blue enameled outer circlet decorated
