Turkey, Ottoman Empire. An Order of Medjidie, III. Class Commander Neck Badge, c.1900 Auction Extremely fine to mint condition(Mecidi Nisani). Instituted late 1851. (c. 1900 issue). Of multi piece construction, crafted out of silver and consisting of a seven pointed multi rayed star, each of the arms with multiple faceted rays, and with a crescent moon and star in between each arm, the obverse with a gilded silver centerpiece showing the Sultan Abdul Meijids royal cypher surrounded by a Turkish inscription within burgundy enamels, the reverse plain, with two unknown arabic
