Constructed of silver, the obverse with a central leftward facing profile of Kaiser Friedrich Wilhelm III, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with an inscription of FR RETTUNG AUS GEFAHR (FOR RESCUE FROM DANGER), within an oak leaf wreath, the obverse maker marked G. LOOS and F. PFEUFFER, measuring 50. 47 mm
