Germany, Imperial. A War Commemorative Medal For Fighters 1870/1871 Hold 1945 while with 2 Ukrainian(Kriegsdenkmnze fr Kmpfer 1870 1871). Instituted 20 May 1871 by Kaiser Wilhelm I. (1871 issue). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, affixed to zink backplate with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 28. 98 mm in diameter, the reverse is missing its catch, in overall better than very fine condition.
