A large round gilt bronze medal; the obverse depicting an Austrian eagle, surrounded by the Coat of Arms of Austrias nine states; the reverse inscribed Fr Verdienste um die Republic sterreich (For Merit for the Republic of Austria); on a loop for suspension from its period original ladies ribbon; measuring 45. 06 mm in diameter; in overall extremely fine condition.
