The band has gone through many, many lineup changes over the course of their career. Doyle is longtime member Jerry Only's brother who briefly played in The Misfits. The two brothers started Kryst the Conquerer in the early 90s and released it on their own Cyclopian Music before reforming The Misfits in 1995 after the duo won a lawsuit allowing them to use the name again, as original singer
