Austria, Empire. An Order Of Elisabeth, Second Class Cross, By F. Rothe, C.1900 Newly Listed maker marked “RZM M9/3 -(Elisabeth Orden, II Klasse). Instituted 1898. A silver Latin cross consisting of red and white enamels, with roses between the arms of the cross; the obverse with a central white enameled medallion with a rightward facing bust of Elisabeth in gold; the reverse with a central white enameled medallion with a golden royal cipher of Elisabeth, fine hand engraved detailing; on a loop for suspension; marked FR for F. Rothe, Wien, along with a Vienna Assay
