Oldenburg, Grand Duchy. A Friedrich August Cross, I Class, C.1915 GTRexclude suspended from a purple bow-tied(Friedrich August Kreuz I. Klasse). Instituted 24 September 1914 by Grand Duke Friedrich August. (1914 1918 issue). Constructed of blackened bronze, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with pebbled arms and a laurel wreath joining the quadrants, with a central monogram of Grand Duke Friedrich August, the six oclock arm bearing an institution date of 1914, the twelve oclock arm bearing a royal crown, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and
