A Turkestan Legion Volunteer’s Sleeve Insignia, First Pattern consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac Type I (1914-1945)(Heer rmelschild eines turkestanischen Freiwilligen in der Wehrmacht). Constructed of field grey rayon, the obverse bearing a central machine embroidered multi coloured mosque, overlaid by an inscription of TURKISTAN, topped by an inscription of BIZ ALLA BILEN (WE BELIEVE IN ALLAH), unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 100 mm (h), in uniform removed and extremely fine condition.
